Peninsula Music Festival’s 64th Season

In 2016 Peninsula Music Festival begins August 2nd and runs through the 20th, with world class musicians: presenting Boris Slutsky & Olga Kern & Spencer Myer, paino; Denise Djokic & Nicholas Canellakis, cello; Igor Yuzefovich & Elena Urioste, violin; and Lura Johnson, harpsichord. Coming to Door County for their first experience or returning for another session at the Door Community Auditorium, this is your chance to hear, and see, and feel the music. Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays are designated days, and all performances start at 7:30 p.m. Schumann to Mozart and Dvorak are just some of the offerings, as well as Enescu, and Handel, Weber, Massenet et al.  Most concerts are conducted by Maestro Victor Yampolsky, PMF’s Music Director, but the tradition of Emerging Conductors will continue–now in its fifth year with young conductors who have been selected through a competitive process.
